Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Target bans Salvation Army! Fact not fiction!

Unlike like the claim of Target not supporting Veterans which proved to be false, this one is true! http://snopes.com/inboxer/charity/sallyann.asp

I think it bites , but it's their policy and their right to decide it . I don't shop at Target anyway , and here's one more reason not to . [:'(]

Kevin I agree it is thier right to decide and well it should be, but I feel it is a consumers obligation to be educated on the policies of retailers they shop at.

Would you shop at a place that donated part of the profits they made from you to PETA?

I hear ya.... I refuse to shop at Target! [:@] If someone gave me a Target gift card for Christmas or my birthday or something, I'd turn around and give it to someone else! [:'(]

It is sorry. I could see them drawing a line with other charities with loose goals or lose associations. But the Salvation Army, come on.[:'(]

Sounds like a P.C. driven thing. Dont want to offend any organization, so they do not allow any to collect infront of their building. Either way, it sucks.

If Target has a no solicitation policy then I don't have a problem with it as long as it is all enclusive.

Not if I was aware of it , nor would I be shy about educating their management about what PETA actually does .

i shop at target all the time, based on what they sell and the price of said items.

if they don't want to allow anyone to solicit in front of their stores, so be it and more power to them. it's not as if the salvation army is hurting for places to solicit donations...they were at every walmart that i went to this year.
