Tred Barta, honestly who has to hunt wild hogs with a knife to prove a point. What an idiot, the first part of the segment the two guides held the pig down while he stabed it like he was a nut job. Wow i dont like this guy one bit. Has anyone else seen his shows? He "does it the hard way the barta way." What a nut case. The hog hunt with a knife was almost as bad as the goose hunt with a long bow. What are everyones opinions on this guy?

Oh yeah.... Tred Barta is a piece of work... [:@] I watched ONE SHOW of his and couldn't believe how he was able to get his own show. He is a serious pi$$ poor example of what an ethical hunter is supposed to be.
I have actually written an email to OLN and asked them about his show and if they'd be willing to substitute it for another hunting show, because Tred Barta's show does more harm to hunters than good.
HA HA HA, I watched that idiot. I thought it was going to be some big time, blood shed wrestling. Hell no, he walked up to the pig, that wasn't even a boar with tusk, and just stabbed him a few times. WTF!!. hell my 5 year cousin could have done that. This guy is a damn sissy. I first seen him on tv when he was going to be the first man ever to kill a bear with a homemade bow and arrows. I wanted to atleast see him get boared and blood go everywhere, now thats a hog hunt with a knife. Then you should feel like you've accomplished something in life. All that jibba jabba he was saying "Taking an animal with a knife sets your soul free, there is nothing like", what did he do. Two guys held the hog down. what a damn sissy.
I should get Chuck Norris to hunt that guy down and hog tie him and pistol whip his stupid arse. I'd rather watch the show were the three girls go fishing and riding "atvs" LOL. Them girls are something else. You can tell they've never been outside other than to go to the tanning bed. LOL
Gotta agree with you on this one. When I watched some of his other episodes it was some what humorous. Barta this and Barta that!
But this pig hunt was ridiculous. Did you see the part where he "trained" with a 3D pig target and ran up on it and practiced stabbing it?
I have to agree, he's off his rocker and the two guys holding a pig while he stabbed it was the dumbest "hunting" show I have ever seen. The network should have never aired it.
What would you expect from a network who primarily airs cycling and faggy hikers?

atleast OLN is not as bad as stupid TBS. You guys ever watch it? When there is a movie on, they bleep out EVERYTHING. Its rediculas. Yesterday I was watching a movie and they bleeped out a scene where adam sandler got kicked in the nuts. WTF!! BUT they show the Family Guy, yes a funny great show, but perhaps just as diry and filthy as South Park but TBS won't bleep out anything on Family Guy I dont' understand it. So if there is a good movie coming on TBS, don't bother watching it because half an hrs worth of it will be bleeped out.
You are all entitled to your opinion on Barta or hunting pigs with "dog and knife," and I have trouble listening to Barta also.... but let me say that "dog and knife" hunting for wild boars is not done to "prove a point," nor is it supposed to be "big time blood shedding wrestling" nor is it "ridiculous" unless you are willing to admit that all hunting is ridiculous dependiing on how and where its down and by whom it is observed.
I visited Hawaii recently and spoke with a man that told me of their island hunts. They've been hunting wild hogs with "dog and knive" (his exact words) for decades upon decades. That is how they do it, period. They consider it the same as hunting with dogs for pheasants, or hunting whitetails with a longbow and he had the same twinkle in his eye as you do if you're talking about a big buck you saw with bow in hand. Its as traditional as duck hunting with shotguns to them, they view it precisely the same.
Its all in your point of view and its a very very regional thing. For example, I find hunting over bait very odd because we don't do it here in Ohio very much, even though it is perfectly legal for certain game species, including whitetail. However, I understand that to hunt bears (elsewhere), you almost have to hunt over bait.
Don't like Barta? Ok, but don't mock something you don't understand. "Hunter" is a global term and an ancient one. Hunting is done in many ways in America, let alone on other continents in far away places and it is a word that binds us together with many others across thousands of miles and eons of time.
Barta just tried a niche end of the sport that many of you are obviously in the dark about, and as a matter of fact, he did so quite successfully.
