Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Terror Inquiries Into PETA and Greenpeace

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/12/19/AR2005121901777.html?nav=rss_politics

Even if they are an animal activist group,This is getting carried away to far.Everyone who attends a protest against the government is goanna be labeled as a terrorist. Peta might be considered terrorists to huntersAnd greenpeace isn't a terrorist group..Well not all thyme.

I just don't see the problem of the FBI watching or monitoring any group or person. If they follow a group's PR releases, events open to the public, demonstrations, etc., I don't see how that is a problem as it is information and events open to the public anyway. As for paying "secret informants," that may not make PETA happy that some of their members, etc. are ratting them out but that is an issue they have with those individuals, not the FBI. And anybody who seriously believes any emails and phone calls you make or send overseas are not being monitored by many governments is being naieve.

while i'm not thrilled with the concept, I accept it, so long as ALL laws, constitutional protections, etc, are vigorously observed. it's really more a question of how cost-effective are these kinds of activity in the war against terrorism.

Peta has been known to funnel money to radical groups like ELF and ALF, both are terrorist groups. Greenpeace has been known to use their ships to harass fishing boats but destroying their nets and even ramming fishing vessels. Close enough to terrorism to me.

Well we already know E.L.F. is a terrorist organization. Well I dont think they actualy hurt anybody, they just blow up car dealerships and tag everywhere they go.
Remember WACO and RUBY RIDGE! Then decide who the terrorists are.

ELF not actually hurting anyone. Are you serious? Their "handywork" has affected in a very bad way jobs, property, huge financial losses.

What I find strange is that PeTA passed the screening process for the Combined Federal Campaign.(fed employess can donate to groups & charities directly from their paychecks) So a group (PeTA) known to give $ to identified domestic terror orgainizations (ALf & ELF) can canvassfed employees for $ support.
