WTF difference does it make? I think those libbies of you wanting to point the finger at Reagan and perhaps make this "his mess" are way off base and using the benefit of "hindsight". When in fact in the mid-80s we had NO IDEA of what would happen and that things would work out like they have. They were going on "good faith" and sailing uncharted waters. In other words they were taking a chance and for better or worse it worked out like it has.
Answer me this, if we sold all these weapons too terrorist/Iraqis etc then why have we continually found only old Soviet weapons in Iraq in Afganistan? I haven't seen the first bombed out remains of an M1 Abrams nor has our soldiers happened upon the first cash of M16s yet we continually find AK47s and old Soviet T-style tanks and other armor all up and down the Persian Gulf coastal nations. The planes of theirs we destroyed on the tarmac were Soviet MIGs as well so where are the F16s and other such stuff we supposedly sold too them?
When I ask this of pinkolibs all I hear is the wind whistlin through the trees outside!!!
