Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

It really is sickening and disgusting. Congress needs to stop their spending spree and leaving our children mired in debt.[:@]

When the democrats were in power the republicans used to rail against the fiscal irresponsibility of the dems. Now they have been in power for how long now? 7 or 8 years? Boy they really fixed the problem didn't they. I'm so disgusted with them I could just spit! I guess the republicans are just as good at spending as the dems were.

The only difference was the democrats were tax and spend, these guys are borrow and spend, which is probably even worse. One of the reason our trade deficit with China is so huge, is because we have borrowed so much money from them we dare not demand anything.

Gold is almost $600.00 per ounce, so while Bush says things are going great, the investment brokers are hedging. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.....who ya gonna trust, Bush or Warren Buffet???

They say that each citizen's debt is 27,306.02.

3 in my family.

hmmmm

If I write a check for 81,918.06 right now, can I permanently absolve all of my family members from future taxes? I'd do it in a heartbeat if they allowed it

We are all repsonsible for this debt. It sounds easy to blame our elected representatives and distance ourselves from it, but that doesn't change anything. This spending comes from the ground up. If you bitch to your local government that your road isn't wide enough, that your kid's classroom isn't kept at a perfect 69 degrees, that junkies should have needle exchange programs, or that your state should buy more land for public use, you are guilty of this debt as much as your senators. towns, municipalities, states all get funding from the sugar daddy named Uncle Sam. If you vote the same crook into office term after term, you are guilty as well- GW has only been in office for about 5 years, some of the tax and spend liberals and borrow and spend conservatives have been in the senate longer than I've been alive. Somteimes I want to individually strangle every constituent of a district or state for voting in the same leach every term.[:@]

That oil could also help pay for all that military equipment field hospitals, mash units food etc& personal we used / after that tsunami.

And for the hundereds of military personal& aircraft field hospitals etcgoing into pakastan now &since there big quake ( suddenly we are welcome?) to offset our global relief missions costs.
