What would you think if you read, this what should happen to the Teacher??
Well, I'm taking a big risk butI talked aboutAllah today for my Social Studies. You would not believe how hungry 3rd graders are. They have never heard about the miracles before. They were talking out.... "I want to be aMuslim" .."I want to be a Muslim."
I've been doing this for 16 years.
#1. You have to know the children's backgrounds. If I had a student whom I thought would be offended { Which I had before Jehovah's Witness} I let the parent know and tehy are given work to do in the media center. I hav eonly had 2 Jehovah's Witness students in 16 years. Both were fine once I warned them
#2.Don't send nothing home and limit the info going in your plan books. Like I said before;we were all slick in the world for the devil...how much more can we come up with strategies in sharing Alklah. As long as children are passing and making good grades the parents love ya.
#3 We are living in a troubled world. I teach in a low income area. Where you have that you have needy people. Needy people need the allah. I've talked with many of the parents themselves. When a parent ask ya.What am I going to do.I have no hope..What would anyMuslim say. Does one just sit there and look sadly or dowe notopenour mouth and share the Hope. We were all there. I was always glad to hear the gospel told to me.
Thanks for the replies Mark. I'm so glad you are saved.

I think you're being deceitful with your shool adminstrators and parents. You indicate you don't put this material in your lesson plan. Why? Why are you teaching kids things that aren't a part of the cirriculum or lesson plan?
You're asking for trouble. If I wanted to teach something about any religion nowadays, I'd get the blessing of my adminstration.

RE: Bringing allah in the back door
Religion doesn't belong in public schools. History does and different religions are certainly part of history. Nothing should be taught, however, that is not sanctioned by the administration.

Well folks this is exactly what Chuck7 is doing at his school except he's slipping in Jesus. I just substituted allah in where he had Jesus or Christian.
To me, since the teacher is not congress, and he is establishing no law respecting the establishment of a religion, I see this as a local issue between the parents and teacher, then administration if need be. But then, I believe in the Constitution as it was written, not as it is currently interpreted.

Exactly so it would be wrong to do this, right?

Basically if you can keep everyone in the dark thisis a great method of teaching kids about Christ. Or about allah or the homosexuality, right?

RE: Bringing allah in the back door
As most know, Im a devout Christian. With that said, I agree with you Charlie, Religion should be taught at home. Now I can be an example in school, with my life and how I live. It is not wrong for the kids to know Im a Christian, but it is not my job to teach religion to my classes. As we all know, even in the same religion, people have different points of view. Lots of toes to step on there. Not to mention the idea of a teacher getting free game at teaching a religion I do not believe in. I don't even care for another Christian preaching to my kids. Some are zelics, some are extremists, and some are way to losewith their ideas. My point, religion is a veryspecial thing, and not every one is on the same page. Its the jobofparentsand religious leaders toteach faith.
Ill go on a limb here and say, I do think kids should have the right to assemble and discuse their faith in free timesat school with like minded kids in times such as lunch, recess, breaks, etc. I dont think religion should be banned from school, but not promoted. And yes, I dounderstand there are inherent problems in what I propose. Thisis simply what I believe. [/align]

Unintended consequences and God have one thing in common: Liberals don’t believe in either of them.

I can totally agree with that.
That was my point in this baiting.
