Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Nicey said Ifferd.Hopefully people wake up and realize that government only opperates as we let it opperate, and that we don't have to allow our lives to be continually restricted and invaded.

I hate to be like a bad penny, Iffie. But someone has to keep an eye on you.

I'm curious why you posted this verbatim from a post you originally posted on 2/15/05. I'm even more curious what blog you copied and pasted from.

If you support the patriot act you don't support the constitution.

I've never seen a group of guys who like to discuss politics with such simplistic logic and thinking as those around here. Everything is seen as black or white usally along party lines here. No shades of gray.

Complex issues seldom have simple solutions and thinking people understand that.

I had problems with some provisions of the Patriot Act. So did a lot of folks and the system responded with not including some of the more onerous violations of privacy and civil rights. But to imply if one supports it in general that it is totally bad and not in the national interest is intellectually lazy.

Try as they may, the Dems who opposed the renewal of the Patriot Act simply on political grounds because they oppose anything backed by the Admn. could not produce any gross violations during its first term.

The Patriot Act was renewed months ago and is not currently a hot topic of debate. I'm still curious why Iffie reposted it. Maybe because you boys yuk yuk'd it up so good for him the first time, he just had to hear it again.

Back to the future with Ifferd continues......
