Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Could the tide be turning?

Could this be an indicator of things to come? Are Americans finally gettng tired of the ineptness of our current administration?

Democrats sweep Virginia, New Jersey races
Democrats swept tough and sometimes nasty governors' races in Virginia and New Jersey on Tuesday, dealing a setback to Republicans andPresident George W. Bush ahead of critical congressional elections next year.

Not me, I'm still an American who supports King George 110%- he's the best. Go Bush, Go Bush.

The 42 presidents before him borrowed 1.01 trillion dollars from other countries combined, Bush in the last 8 years, has borrowed 1.03 trillion. How can that possibly be good?

i don't think there's any doubt that voter dissatisfaction with the current administration played out on a local level. i'm looking at results where local Ds won, where they had no right and no expecation of winning (based both on demographics and the merits), yet swept. stunned, I am.

The press really wants it to look that way, don't they?
Have you heard any headlines about Ohio (you remember, the decisive, and most controversial state just a year ago?)

There were five state initiaitives. Issue1 was sposored by the rep. governor (I hate him, but that doesn't matter here) and was backed by most rep.'s in the state. It passed.

Issues 2 through 5 were sponsored by liberals, funded by liberal groups, like Move On. The wanted to take election control away from the Secretary of state. They wanted to redistrict the state. They wanted to change contribution laws. They wanted to allow unrestricted absentee ballots to anyone, even without proof of ID...All things that would have helped Kerry (and probably Gore) if they had been in place already. All things that would give Democrats a leg up in Ohio. They were all defeated by wide margins.

I hate to be such a stickler on facts and truth, but someone ought to call to your attention that the Executive Branch of government headed by the President has no authority to spend or borrow money. That is the domain of Congress.

The Dem base is engergized this a.m., but it's a long time until the mid-term and next presidential election and the tides of public sentiment will ebb and flow before them. Too soon to call. In the end every election is a two-horse race and we don't even know who the horses are.

As long as the deemoncraps don't run an ass in a horse race they have nothing to worry about.

Who is stupid enough on the republican to run on wya's coat tails?
