Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default RE: Tax Increase Looms for Middle America

Ifferd, I just went out and asked my bird dogs what they thought about this. Without hestitation, they agreed that anyone who believes career politicians would touch the sacred cow of home mortgage deductions was delusional!

Personally, I would like to see it. It makes no sense to give huge tax breaks to folks that choose to live beyond their means, own more than one home and take out home equity loans to pay off their credit cards.

But since I don't have any mortgages, it won't affect me. Other than if it were to become law, folks who live beyond their means would have to pay the same tax rate I do.

Let's hope it happens, but it won't.

Why can't the candy asses up there just admit what they REALLY want and go ahead and DO IT!!! Just fire every single employee of the I.R.S. and abolish the agency. Make the simple tax code that of a FLAT 10% across the board of ones annual income. It's fair, it's simple and if the eggheads in Washington can't fund all their pet pork projects at home and keep their welfare constituents ahole deep in $200 sneakers and $4k rims for their $500 cars, then CUT CUT CUT spending and axe the agencies that can't make it. I am like many others in the country, cash poor and government rich, I could do with more of one and ALOT LESS with the other...

But ahhh that's to simple aint it? It aint "fair" too the knuckle draggin anchors in our society who believe I am supposed to foot their bills so they can crap babies and sit on the porch watching Jerry Springer everyday! [:@]

You can't buy a condo near me without getting hit with the tax break rollback. Funny thing is that though many talk of tax increases for the wealthy, the actual plan is tax increases for the average Joe. Remember, many people bought houses after or during the runup in prices, and have mortgages easily exceeding $300 k. Interest rate increases alone will drive the market south without the help of the deduction rollback. That is ONE break I think should stay, since it encourages home ownership.

If that passes we might as well just vote for the Hildebeast because no republican will get elected . [:@]
