Default Do you hunt with: Bow/Gun/Other/None?

I hang in this and off season room more so than the bow and deer forums for most the year, then venture into mainly bow during season, so I only know what a few of you are hunting with.

I hunt with bow, gun, muzzle loader. My passion is bow.

What about you?

Do we have any non-hunters here?

I'll start even though I have been away from the board for a year and a half.

I hunt with a bow, gun, muzzelloader and a camera. Don't do it much with a spot light any more. Love bow hunting a lot. Muzzleloader is new to me(only one season so far) and is fast becoming my favoret.

Good thread idea, Bob.

My absolute favorite form of hunting is rabbit hunting. I use a bolt action .410. While I'm out, I'll take a squirrel if I see one.

If I'm just squirrel hunting, I carry my Rossi .22 pump. It's the first gun I ever bought.

For deer hunting, I use my Omega Muzzle loader all season.

I have a bumb shoulder and can't use a bow. I bought a cross bow (legal in Ohio), but I haven't invested the time in learning how to use it yet, nor have I studied up on bow hunting techniques. (I have learned from raeding on HNI that it's very important to wait quite some time after shooting a deer before you go after it.) So, archery season will be an option for me, just not yet.

I bought an NEF .223 for varmint hunting, but I haven't been able to get permission to hunt on any farms yet, so I'm waiting to break that one in.

Bow and muzzle loader. The only rifle I own is an old Rem 41 single shot 22 my father bought in 1937.

ROFLMAO!!!

So far, I've hunted with a rifle, pistol and shotgun but have acquired a bow and muzzleloader and am looking to expand into those.

badshotbob:

Great thread. I like putting some more information with the names I've been reading.

I hunt with:

A bow (Golden Eagle Evolution)
A muzzleloader (1861 Springfield rifled musket .58 cal.)
And rifles (Marlin .30-30; Remington 700 in .270 and my favorite, my M1 Garand in .30-06.

I hunt deer and boar with a Marlin .30-.30, Golden Eagle Hawk, and Knight Wolverine .50 cal muzzleloader.

I hunt turkey with a Winchester 1100 12 guage pump.

I hunt squirrels with a Ruger 10-22

I hunt rabbits and grouse and quail with a New Englander 20 guage single-shot.

And I hunt all of the above year-round with a Canon Rebel Digital.
