Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default What politics has become

Bush surprised everyone with his appointment of Harriet Miers to SCOTUS. I think I was the first to post here and said I was disappointed in the appointment. In todays' Washington Times, James Dobson reveals that Karl Rove told him a couple of days prior to her appointment that she was at the top of the short list because some candidates had removed themselves.

"Well, what Karl told me is that some of those individuals took themselves off that list," he said, according to a transcript obtained last night. "They would not allow their names to be considered because the process has become so vicious and so vitriolic and so bitter that they didn't want to subject themselves or the members of their families to it."

Really...who would want to run? Skeletons whether true or not are aired for all to see. W got an easy ride with his last appointment/ nomination and I doubt that this one will fly. Witha population of 295,734,134 she is the best of the best. I doubt it but George likes her. This one will take a while.

Politics has become ignorance. How many politicians does it take to screw in a light bulb? - they could never come to any answer.

in my humble opinion politics has become just another spectator sport . just like football, basketball, baseball and hocky. we see more and more colorful players who do drugs ,steal money, cheat on wives etc. and they continue to get our support as well as our money . they have teams called the republican, democratic, libertarian and independant parties. who are constantly recruiting new players. we sit and watch night after night to see what the news tells us about our favorite and our least favorite players. and then every year they hold the devision championships known as state and local elections. but the holy grail, the superbowl of the political world is held every four years...........just an observation.

Just like everything else today. It is not a matter of picking between wrong and right, it is a matter of picking the wrong that is more right.

Make sure you vote in all elections and stay as informed about the candidates as possible. Demand honest politicians...if there is such a thing.

no i dont believe there is such a thing so what now? Can anyone here honestly say that there is someone currently in the political spectrum
that they would really like to see run in 2008? If not I guess were all just gonna sit around and see who gets nominated.
