Don't just take Robertson's word for it, his credibility has virtually been destroyed. Instead, read the Bible and draw your own conclusions between the dire prophecies that are made in the New Testament and what is currently happening in the world today. Of course whether you actually believe what is written in the Bible is another subject entirely, but I think regardless of your personal thoughts about a divine God, Christianity and the Bible, you can clearly see how the events forecast in those writings correlate with the events of our modern-day world through the eyes of many Christians (and not just the mythical "fundamentalist" Christian, either).
I'm thankful that I can say that my eyes were once opened to the Word of God and I am a Christian. However, I can't say I put too much stock in man's interpretations of the prophecies foretold in Revalations and othe books of the New Testament. And I certainly don't put much faith in my own ability to interpret those prophecies. Whether they're literal or whether they're figurative will have to be decided by someone other than myself.
However, I certainly see the correlation between Biblical "end times" prophecies and the current state of affairs through the eyes of many Christians (Robertson included). But I simply choose to rely on Christ's words - "No man knoweth the day nor the hour"- and hold steadfast to my faith that if we are in the end times and the end of this world as we know it is near, that I'm fully prepared.

I'm not a Robertson fan, but in his defense to your rather garish remark, I'll say that the man appears humble with his statements. A bit more than yourself.
Robertson:
Quote:
When asked if the world was approaching that moment, Robertson said, "It's possible. I don't have any special revelation to say it is but the Bible does indicate such a time will happen in the end of time. And could this be it? It might be."

I just love it when all these religious vultures gather around a disaster and spew end of daysproficy. there seems to be a neverending clip full of revilation bullets being shot out there these days. so let me help you dodge some of them. the end of days has been being screamed ever since man first read the good ole bible . the bible has been used to scare many a people into submition. and when we couldnt scare them we used our swords or guns to force them. the end of times is coming be assured of that but it will not be at Gods hands but at our own. we are systematicly killing our planet with our polution filled cars and our factories vomiting toxins into the water and air. God gave us a wonderful nonreplaceable gift we call the earth in which we have been trying to destroy since time began.so when the earth is uninhabitable by mankind dont blame God blame man himself. i can asure you that there were terrible storms, eartquakes, fires, tsuname's ,wars and rumers of wars since time began. just take a look at a few history books go back 200 or even 2000 years and they were there.

Kevin, I would encourage you to show where Robertson's statements are wrong rather than just blindly insult him. I'd be interested in why you think Robertson is a "moron" based on his quotes in that story.

Congratulations. I've read a lot of silly, baseless comments on this forum, and have added a few to the pot myself, but I've not seen many that can touch that one.
