Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Will Mexico Complain About Free Trade??

The wife bought a specific jacket for my son at his private school the other day. While removing the tag, I noticed it said "Made in China" and below that "Heche In China." Now I'm wondering if Mexico is going to start complaining about the cheap imports they must be getting. Or is this bilingual tag merely meant for spanish speaking Americans? I hope the former so I can see how Mexico handles the situation. Got my curiousity going now.

They might complain but since they refuse any language but their own, the chinese won't be able to understand them.

I can't see how they could complain....they are all here and working. Rio Grande means cross here in Spanish. Or in Mexican it means cross anywhere you want.[:@]

Its funny how free trade always focuses on Mexico. Canada has a free trade agreementwith the USA that predates Mexicos. Canadas sells more to the US than any other country, it also buys more US goods than any other country. Canada is the biggest export customer for 39 states. A good, win win situation for everyone. By the way, the US get most of it imported energy from Canada (electricity, gas, oil) and also the worlds largest proven oil reserves are just next door in Canada.(tar sands)
Unfortunately, though I always hear about the US being the only free trader out there, this is simply not true.
For instance the US has been protecting lumber barrons in the SE by adding huge duties to Canadian lumber which is far cheaper. This inspite of Canada winning all 3rd party arbitrations that say Canada is trading fairly. The rebuilding of the southern coast will cost billions more because of these duties.
The French Farmer is well subsidized, above only(guess who) theUS farmers. All that expensive sugar and all that corn that no one needs is grown only because the us taxpayer pays for it to be grown. At the very least convert that stuff into fuel for your vehicles.
Anyways the point bein, the US talks the talk, but does she walk the walk. Not always.
happy huntin
