Is the VT for Vermont? I thought you were all liberal up there!!
Maybe you're conservative for a Vermont resident, which still might mena you're liberal to outsiders!

I am from Vermont, but not everyone here is liberal.
Our liberal population resides largely in the Burlington area and consists of people who moved here from southern New England. We call them flatlanders. The rural parts of the state (which is most of the land area) is either conservative or moderate like me. I don't agree with a lot of the ideas of the local righties, but I find it harder to get along with the lefties as they are often extremely judgemental of my gun toting meat eating ways. I do side with them on some environmental issues, however. The main topic that puts me at odds with the locals on the right side of the fence is the whole gay civil unions thing. I could personally care less and think there are bigger political fish to fry. A lot of the more rural people around here think it's the political issue to end all political issues.
Overall, my biggest beef is with the southern New England liberals who come up here with gobs of money and are gradually turning this state into the next Connecticut. The suburban sprawl around Burlington churns my stomach.
