Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Would you ?!?!

Here's the situation.............

You've got a family whom you are very close to, Father, Mother and two teen aged kids. He self employed, a one man company, she doesn't make too much money at her job. Both kids are, of course, in school. He's just broken his leg and fractured his pelvis and will not be working for at least six months. Money for them is very tight, living day to day.

If you had the opportunity to harvest a doe for them, but had no doe tags, would you do it....???? Giving them a freezer full of meat.

What would YOU do ??? I know the "proper" legal answer. I'm asking you for the proper answer from deep in your soul. Forget legality........what would your heart tell you to do............

NO I would not. If I felt compelled to help them I would buy some groceries for them.

to many hunters look to justify poaching.

I would have to say unfortunately I would not harvest a doe that I do not have tags for. I understand they are down and out, but if I were caught and arrested it would put my family in the same position. Therefore in reality this situation would cause double impact of family suffering. I would however offer them the meat from a buck that I would harvest and have legal tags for. If they were truly down and out it would make no difference to them if the meat were that from a yearling, doe, or buck! Just my thoughts and opinion!

I wouldn't. Couldn't you just get another doe tag and shoot one for him?

I would probably pay for the guy or his wife to purchase an archery license then fill it for him or her. I know you're not suppose to fill others tags unless they're within I believe shouting distance, but seriously, in the situation, twenty some dollars for a few tags is going to put more food on their table than twenty some dollars at the grocery store.
