Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Here comes Rita...

Another CAT 4 or CAT 5 surging through the Gulf, about to destroy another chunk of the US...

1) Are we going to be better prepared, ie. will the government set staging areas? Don't answer, they're already doing it...

2) Will the manpower be available? Of course, the national guard have already been alerted in all the states, with Federal backing...

3) How much will this cost?

Anybody have any estimates how much this thing will cost if it turns towards Houston? And how much higher will gas rise, we know it will go up again...production will be "altered"[:-]

I'm taking no chances. I'm keeping the gas tank as close to full as possible.

I'm probably pretty safe where I'm at...............at least from the hurricane. Maybe not gas station price gouging.[:@]

I usually benefit from tropical systems that hit the Gulf when they move up through the state. The winds play out pretty quick, and the rains they bring can be a blessing. This part of the world is kind of dry right now. I just hate for somebody else to have to deal with the a hurricane.
