The local energy company in southeast Wisconsin is priming us already so they can record new record profits again this winter !! [:@]They reported in the Milwaukee Urinal that the rates are expected to go up 40 to 45% for this winter heating season [:'(]even tho they say they do how know what the actual rates will be at that time !!! [:'(][:@]An average home will incur an extra $350.00 in gas heating cost over the 6 month winter heating period. This is from a company that reported record profits just like the oil companies do !!!! [:@][:@][:@]Why don't they absorb some of these costs and instead of making a huge profit, why don't they make a big profit ? I realize that all companies need to make a profit to stay in business,I will not deny that to any company, but when you have 20 Presidents and 50 vice presidents in one company first drawing 6 and 7 figure incomes, then huge bonuses because the company made record profits, it just sort of grates on me when the average joe like me struggles to keep paying their bills because it goes up 50% every year !!!!
The Main problem with WE Energies ( some pronounce it weinergies) is that they are the only game, or should I say CROOKS in town !!! Its not like you can go and get competitive bids from a different energy supplier cuz there are none !!!

Have you filed a complaint with your state utilities commission yet ? Get as many people to do the same as you can , too . In order to raise rates they have to petition for it like any other utility, and the commission can turn them down if they can't demonstrate a need to do so . If they're really making record profits they don't have a need to gouge .
You might also want to check out whether or not it's worth it to convert to electric heat , it's more than gas right now , but their rates stay very stable over the long run and their rate increases are usually small and far between . If your gas furnace is older than 10 years the conversion may pay off , especially if your electric company offers some form of "budget billing" . I used to live in an all electric house with baseboard heat/central air and my average monthly electric bill was $115 . My current home has propane locked in @ $1.39 , I'll be looking at an electric furnace and water heater next year .

Oh, BS! why the hell is everybody bitching about the cost of gas? I have started driving 55 with some decent fuel savings, do you think anybody else is? Every day I am out on the road I have hundreds of cars, suv, and trucks blowing by at 70mph and they are the ones whining about gas prices. I'm sick of this gouging, high profit margins, Bush's oil budiies etc crap. The fact is Americans drive every where, in gas hog cars, at fast speeds. Supply is low and demand is high. We need to open more refineries and increase supply, and work on lowering demand, then gas prices will settle into a better price.
What do natural gas prices(is there a shortage?)-have to do with the price of oil&gasoline& supply& demand?
