RE: From those who Crticize our Troops and Hate America!
Ifferd, I'm new here, and I can't figure out if you are trying a weak attempt at misinformation or just misinformed yourself.
Every person listed in your quote list supports the troops, supports the WOT and George W. Bush.
A few quotes taken out of the context in which they were spoken, doesn't mean much. Maybe if you shared where and how you acquired these quotes it would be helpful to understand why you have misrepresented the positions of some very patriotic Americans.

underdog,
most of those statements were made when President Clinton commited troops to Bosnia and or Somalia. So the point is that the R's are now flip flopping on troop deployment.
I was in Mogadishu immediately after they shot down that blackhawk. and stayed there with no US military support until July the following year. I was attached to the USLO and not a UN participant. When US forces left we stayed to guard the embassy,,,,ALONE against 3 million somalis.
My chief complaint then was the rules of engagement. they changed hourly some days, literally. In both cases US servicemen were killed because they were restricted in their use of force, to a point that security was non existent.
When you put men and women ina deadly situation where people are trying to kill them and tell them they are not allowed to return fire unless a specific type of weapon was fired at them [:@]you are sending them on a near suicide mission.
When I was fired on in Mogadishu and radioed in for release authority they told me to hold fire unless I was taking RPG fire[:@]. If I was taking RPG fire I would already have been dead.
Now If I thought that President Bush was doing that to US military men and women I would CERTAINLY be pissed, but he's not. He's allowing them to defend themselves. So in my view Clinton committed human targets and Bush committed combat troops. Having been there I think I am emminently qualified to see the difference.

Phoenix, the problem is as I see it,that some aren't listening to those who have actually been there because it doesn't jive with what they want to be fact.Hell I read a post hear from a Marine that was in Iraq who stated that they found sarin canisters among other things and you sure didn't see any posts trying to refute him.........wonder why? They seem to shy away from reports like this, but not from what the media of they're choice wants them to believe.I choose to go with those who are their;including a cousin who is going back for the second time.I was a Marine in the early 80's ,3/25 4th Mar Div.FMF.All I can say to you and others is Thank You!!!!

Talehunter, thank you for your service. I understand that not many people (especially those who would politicize things) would do that. I was in college at that time, courtesy of the Army and an ROTC scholarship. You were making my education possible, whether or not you know it.
One thing that Ifferd fails to factor into his little equation: The nature of the enemy has changed. Our enemies have factored the response of people like Ifferd into their equation, and, are probably counting on their response.
On another message board that I'm a member of, I have the following quote posted: "September 11 was for me a wake up call. Do you know what I think the problem is? That a lot of the world woke up for a short time and then turned over and went back to sleep again." Tony Blair said those words.
Sounds as if a couple of the members of this forum are in that group . . .
