Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default In this day and age!!

Hey wait a moment!!! I thought the police will always be there to protect us from the bad elements of society. I guess nobody bothered to tell us that a hurricane and the chaos that follows can cause cops to not patrol their beat. Hmmm, five days with no law enforcement and New Orleans has turned into Somalia.
That's right folks, in this day and age we have an uncontrolled crime spree and no means for the goverment to stop it for days on end. If there was ever a time for the average citizen to have a gun to protect himself and his family from mobs run loose and on a murderous rampage it is now.
I'm sure that when the framers of the constitution wrote that wonderful document they didn't think that one of our great cities would fall into mob rule chaos like this. But wasn't it nice of them to make sure the everage citizen would have the right to bear arms just in case it happened?

You would think the people would welcome the assistance of police but instead some are choosing to shoot and attack them. Should a police officer be out there trying to save people on roof tops while dodging sniper fire?

I don't think that a law abiding citizen is doing the shooting. Instead it's probably a crook of some sort popping off a few more round shoping it causes a few more days of lawlessnes so he can steal another plasma screen. I'll bet a plasma screen back that he didn't buy that gun legaly. He most likely just stole it or had it illegaly before the storm hit.

In times like this the best law enforcement is a determined citizen with a fully loaded gun. A bunch of Marines would be pretty good too.
