Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Is our national Gaurd so over burdened that we can't get more then 21,000 there after four days?

Why are the national gaurde trucks just driving around the city and not pulling survivors out of the flood waters?

Why have no regular troops been sent into the region? With an emergency like this why have we not pulled troops aout of Europe or somewhere else and brought them home?

Why no major airlift of water ,food and medical supplys? We can supposedly deploy anywhere in the world in 48 hours right?

Why haven't Navy hospital ships arrived?

Probably more to come on this one old dog. I think it will get much much worse as time goes on and there will have to be pressure put on the gov't to step it up. Only so many available troops left and there is already issues with FEMA and not having enough to do the job. I really feel that we are going to need all the extra that the gov't can muster to get through this one. Public approval of W has fallen to an all time low due to the war and this will certainly not help his cause.

Yeah, because of the President and big oil this disaster happened.See they are in cahoots with Mother Nature and the deal was to make the oil companies richer;all they had to do was order nature to stop but they didn't...........Just using absurdity to illustrate absurdity. What can be done at this time is being done.No-one can snap their fingers and bring all the rescources needed to immediately solve every situation in the blink of an eye. This was a city of thousands,a lot of area to cover that is now under water making finding people difficult.

Thats right,at least the first half of it;that was the whole idea!Sad fact is there are people out there that blame the hurricane on Bush. Some say because he doesn't care about the environment and didn't sign the kyoto farce this happened among other ludicrous accusations.
