Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Oh yeah! I really want to help the looters.

There are people asking for money that were hurricane stricken. That's okay and all... but I know who will get the money and they are probably selling looted TV's right now. I can mildly understand the taking of food but stealing high dollar items is pure BS. If I owned a store down there I'd be on the roof top taking snap shots...not with a camera though. They are messing with peoples lively hoods to save their own... death penalty offense.

I don't want to hear this high oil price crap until people stop driving as much and control the demand. Boo frickin who with the oil price. Get rid of your internet and save money for more gas if you are that upset about it.

14mercs must have oil stock.. haha.. Actually my parents have some stock in Exxon (But it's costing more to pay for gas then they will get out of the stock come retirement). Personally I, as well as other people I know, have cut back a lot because of the gas prices. And YES I will complain since the American people are getting raped at the pump. This time last year I was getting a gallon of gas for $1.95.. Now it's $2.97-$3.09. There is NO reason for that. None at all except for greedy oil companies, plan and simple. As far as looting I could understan food (although most is not edible now) but looting jewelry and expensive items has nothing to do with survival. FEMA is going to come in and pay for everything. So there is no reason to loot, except they are just theives!!!

14mercs, I agree. The knee-jerk reaction is that only food and necessities are being stolen. That's not the case at all. How dare the vermin steal from those who are already hurting in a big way from the storm. I'd be on the rooftop popping caps off to protect my livelihood and way of feeding my wife and kidstoo...

Not to mention those who receive insurance checks for TVs and flood damage will probably be right back in the store they stole from in the first place. I do not think insurance companies replace looted merchandise either. Store owner says, "I would sell you a new TV but they were all stolen while bleeding heart liberals turned their backs to the minority crime wave."

I bet with all the Terrorism in Iraq that it costs 25% more to bring the gas to the US. The South American nations are the ones gouging us. They have experience zero increase in costs. (not counting fuel)

Boo hooo hooo....gas is three bucks.... get a bike or car pool ya big babies!!!

Right back at you with the illogical thoughtbig boy... What should in your ultimate wisdom, be done about the looters? Do we all have the choice not to buy gas? hmmmm yes. Do we all have the choice not to loot? hhhhhmmmm double yes. The oil companies are not diving into my house and stealing my items of cherish and value. My gas prices have not risen.. matter of fact they are three cents less than Saturday before the storm.

They are not stealing. Do you go to the pump and buy the gas or do they directly withdraw the money from your wallet and leave you with nothing? No. You get the gas and get your happy ass to work. Are the looters criminals and in need of someswift justice? Yes. A pile of bodiesand spent shells would stop a lot of looting me thinks.

I thought you were concerned about the working man. What about the working man without any TVs to sell to people looking to replace their waterlogged ones. Poor poor looters here ya go do you have any of these MP3 players yet. Take a few more we are getting ripped off by Exxon anyway. You Ifferd are funny. FUNNY. FreeDVD players aisle10 donated by Ifferd.

The maggots that insist on stealing during times like this should be shot on sight. The ones I'm seeing on TV are NOT stealing food--it's TV, VCR's, stereo's, etc. -- all in an area where there's NO ELECTRICITY! Absolutely not needed for life. They're not simply walking into stores with broken walls -- these vermin are throwing rocks and bricks through the windows to break -in. Drop 'em in their tracks.

And YES the stinking oil companies are raping us. They are jacking the prices up to $4.00/gallon now that they have a convenient excuse to blame it on. They KNOW we have to have it to get to work, heat our homes, etc and they've been gouging us for months already. Then, just as we're about maxed out, they see something to use as a "reason" for gouging us and they jump on their own people. Absolutely, they're just about criminal with their greed.

The oil companies are making big profits and our troops are in Iraq protecting their oil. They should be paying us for this protection.A bushel of corn for a barrel of oil.
