Economic Effects of Katrina
Things will get worse for the disaster zones in the days to come including a million+ people now out of a job. Never in the history of this country has an entire grand city been shut down. What happens when a million people are now wandering the earth with no home and no job? Where are they going to get work now? Waiting on rebuilding and getting New Orleans going again will devistate many people financially.
I heard the Big Three are going to offer deferred car payments to victims. I wonder if mortgage holders will be offering the same.
I believe this is a national disaster, way beyond local.
