Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

I don't consider myself a violent person, but if I came face-to-face with one of these oil execs, I don't know how I might react. What they're doing is criminal. And they're going to be responsible for sending our economy into the tank.

Pretty soon people will start getting so fed up, they'll just do a "drive off" and blow out of the gas station at 75mph down the highway! [:@]

Too bad there isn't one decent oil company. Think of this one. If there was one company who had some decency all the people could boycott the gougers and only buy from the decent company thus forcing the other companys out of business. Ya I know people in hell want ice water.

I guess if you need a boogie man it might as well be oil companies.

I got gas last night after work (I knew they were going to jump) for $2.67 the same gas station this morning sold the same gas for $2.97 and the gas station down the street sold regular for $3.09.. That's just stupid. .30 cent jump over night is rediculous. I wish I owned a major oil company. I'd sell my stuff for .50-75 cents cheaper a gallon and run the other companies out of business, all the while getting plumper then a Christmas Goose.

Well, they just said (on the radio) that prices are now likely to hit $4.00 or more per gallon almost immediately as a result of the hurricane! Effect --bull hockey, this is gouging plain and simple. The news media actually helps the oil companies with this by telling us in advance what is going to happen. The oil execs seem to think that "gives them permission." I would love the opportunity to "pay THEM back" someday for what they're doing to this country. They will be ruining the economy which had finally got back on it's feet.

The Wall-street bunch is also to blame for this since they continue to help raise the per barrel price.
