Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

NO NO NO NO NO.....

Introducing a foreign species to a free-ranging environment is just asking for trouble.

I read this in the paper yesterday. This will never happen. All of the species they would like to bring here are not native to North America.

There are ranches in Texas right now that are preserving White and Black rhinos , the animals are fenced in but somehow I think the Texas F&G will be having to sell rhino tags someday . Introducing non-native species is usually a bad idea , introducing lions , leaopards ,and other big cats is just tragedy waiting to happen . I've been to Kenya , the folks that lived outside Mombassa all had very tall thornbush fences around their homes , some as high as twenty feet . They had good reason .

Remember , it was our own federal goob , Dept. of Agriculture who brought us the rosa rugosa and kudzu , do we really wanthuge predatorsin our back yards ?

Sounds like some of those scientists need a real job. Bad enough bringing them into zoos. No way should they be allowed to introduce anything that isn't native to the area. When non native species are accidently introduced there are usually severe consequenses to native species.

It has happened lots of times before - sometimes OK - normally bad.

Pheasants - turned out pretty well.

But some that didn't are -
Carp
English sparrow
Rock Dove (Common pigeon)
Norway Rat - (by accident) the good old common sewer rat
Killer Bee's
