Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Israel asking US to pay $2 billion for resettling Gaza residents

What is up with that? Here we go again, footing the bill for the world. How many countries would bail us outif the debt burden finally overwhelmed the country and droveus into a depression?

What possible logical reason would Israel have for having the absolute balls to ask us to subsidize their problem ? Them moving settlers is an internal matter and none of our business . Here's a thought , why don't they just use some of the millions that we send them each year in foreign aid to do something besides spy on us ? [:@]

This little situation too will get violently ugly. You watch. History has proved to us time and time again that you don't mess with Israel, that includes the current and past Israeli leaders. The U.S. is walking on thin ice on this one. It will be interesting to watch this one though.

I heard that Pat Buchanon ran the figures and what they are asking from us amounts to several million dollars per Gaza resident. OUTRAGEOUS!

Israel remains our only friend in the middle east - it's cheap insurance to keep them on our side.

Friend? Rick, is this how friends treat friends? Read Doug's post just above yours. Either they're just pulling figures out of their butt or they're using us. I'm quite sure they're not stupid, so I'm going to suggest that they're using us. And we fall all over ourselves to fund their every request. As Doug said in the initial post on this thread, they would have us to drive ourselves straight into economic depression by funding their requests if we would go that far.

No, this isn't how friends treat friends. And Israel needs us just as much as we need them. Let's withdraw our support for Israel for a while and leave them at the hands of their enemies throughout the Middle East and see how long it takes them to come crawling back for forgiveness.

Unfortunately, the Christian voting block (in general) in this country doesn't want to be seen doing anything that could be considered "going against" the Jews, so we'll continue to see this outrageous foreign-aid distributed to Israel for quite some time.
