Default Snickers

Has anyone seen that snickers commercial where there are a bunch of guys in the woods wearing camo & blaze orange and a buck in velvet walks in and they begin throwing snicker bars at it until it runs away, then they stand there like their minds missed something? Everytime I see it I get ticked... no more Snickers/Mars products for me.

I've seen it, but don't get it Why would this make me want to buy a Snickers candy bar? They hired the wrong ad agency.

I thought that M&M Mars went over the line the first time I saw it also it p.o.'d me, even now when it comes on the T.V. I don't undersatand the message they are trying to get across, I find it a very lame commercial.

Yes, the first time I saw it, I thought WTF are they trying to pull here, don't these guys know that most hunters are snickers adicts??? Then I "got it", I think, maybe. They are making spoofs on everybody here, even animal rights, with the message that you have to eat snickers to be satisfied, really straightforward the old "eat popcorn" trick. The main story, eat snickers and hunting is NOT satisfying if you can't eat, well enough said and enough analyzing a silly ad.

Since I am a snickers addict, I will keep buying until I have a statement that mars/snickers is anti-hunting.

Saw it and didn't get it. Probably not going to make the Super Sunday top 10.

I was going to start a thread about the commercial but did a search instead and found this.

I've seen it a few times and every time I see it I'm like, "WTF are they trying to say?" After reading MarkIIVT's post, I think I might have it but it's a stretch. Maybe they are saying that hunting is only satisfying if you eat it? If that is it, then Mars has some pro-hunters on their board. If it isn't, then someone should be fired for wasting a lot of money on a very stupid commercial.

I've seen the commercial a few times and think it's a stupid commercial. I don't know if they're trying to convey an anti-hunter message or insult hunters but the commercial is definitely lacking in artistic merit.

It's not trying to insult hunters at all, sure real hunters think its dumb, but its not made to offend. Its made to make people want to buy Snickers when they are hungry. It failed though...but Snickers are still awesome!

They were just trying to say that Snickers is best when eaten, and that it's an ineffective projectile. I was entertained because it made me think "WTF??"

They used good food, hunting, and poked a little redneck humor while they were at it.

As a follow-up, they could do the scene from "Predator" when the guy is carving into his chest with a knife, but instead of a knife, he could be smearinga nasty, molten Snickers on himself.
