Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default What should happen to this kid?

After reading some of the comments on the earlier thread titled the same, I was curious what you guys thought.

Three-year-old boy fatally stabs 2-year-old sister

A three year old...just when thought things couldn't get any worse. I have a difficult time believing a toddler is "evil" or malicious enough to murder his younger sister, unless this kid has been through truly horrific abuse. My instinct tells me that he was either playing around with a knife and accidentally cut her, or he was acting out something he'd observed someone else do (perhaps on TV or in a movie).

And once again, mom apparently isn't anywhere to be found while he was messing around with the knife. Just lovely.

Having been quick to judge on the other post I feel obligated
to speak up here but I really don't know what to say. I've
typed the beginning of several responses, I just can't finish.
"Parents are responsible for their kids safety".
"It only takes a second for tragic accidents to happen".
"In this world we live in today....."

This is horrible. A 3 yr old is little more than a baby yet
obviously has the dexterity and strength to quickly do alot
of damage given a moment of opportunity. Hopefully their
local authorities will have a better grasp of how to handle this
than me.
Keep your kids close. Err on the side of safety.

I got nothing else.

Sad story. I don't know quite what to say. I do know that in the case of the 8-year-old, he clearly knew what he was doing. Old enough to be held accountable, I do not know, but old enough to know what he was doing.

I don't know where you draw the line between old enough and not old enough, but I do know that three years would be on the side of not old enough.

I also don't think that the mother should be charged.
