The annoying sponsor link list at the right side of the screen appears to be gone. Thank you mods, admin or whoever. Having sponsor links on the right and taking up too much space was not a positive change for the board.

Well Brad, what you need to understand first and foremost is that HuntingNet is a business. As with any business we're not here to play around all day and have fun - we're here to make money and we do that by selling advertising space on our website. Whether we sell that space to a high fence hunting preserve, a free ranging outfitter, or some guy selling arrows out of his basement is irrelevant.
They could easily make a hyperlink button on top showing all the sponsors. No biggie... I for one like looking at different outfitters, like, that big place in Montana along the Milk River or wherever it is... I saw it onReal Tree's Monster Bucks videos. The sponsors help make this site what it is.
Butch, I agree about having a link button and liking to check out sponsors. My comment about liking a return to the old format was an attempt to express how the newer format with sponsor links at the right was just too crowded and thus not enjoyable to view.

Datamax, GET OVER IT! I've seen you piss and moan over and over and over because Hunting.Net accepts advertising from the hunting reserves that you call "canned hunts." If you don't like it, DON'T POST HERE. I didn't like the bar down the right-hand side, either, and said so. But the bottom line is this: HNI Justin is absolutely correct - this website, and all the websites like it, are all about turning a profit. The sponsors pay for this forum that you enjoy getting on and using for your debates. You think they should pay out of pocket to provide this service for you? What if they just dropped all their sponsors and required you to subscribe to the site. Would you be willing to fork over some money to help pay for it?
I hardly think so. So the sponsors pay the bills. Who those sponsors are, frankly, doesn't matter. Do you call your local cable network and complain every time you see an ad from the DNC? Or when you see an ad from a liquor brand?
You have a real gift for acting completely childish.

So I'm not going crazy?[&:] I wasn't going to complain, since I understand the whole concept of paying bills and such, but I do like things better the way they are now. Thanks to whoever for keeping things in nice, working order.
As for canned hunts, I could care less what somebody else wants to do with their money. They're not for me, but I'm not going to complain. Hunters/gun owners draw enough unwanted criticism as it is, and arguing amongst ourselves just creates rifts to divide us and make us easier to conquer.
BTW, is Tard banned or just suspended? Sanity is relative, and they say one in every four people has a mental defect. So check three people and if they'reO.K., your it. With it down tojust Cal, Aught, Butch, and Ben, I'm not liking my odds.[8D]

While what you say is true, the fact remains that without the folks that post here, HNI would not be able to charge anything for their advertising, nobody does anything just from the goodness of their heart. The more users, the more they can charge just like a newspaper or magazine.A balance has to be found in everything and if either side of the equation gets out of balance you lose. The sponsors that pay for this forum do so because it attracts people that they feel are able in one way or another to buy their products and services, it is up to the HNI management to present the entire package in a manner that pleases both the sponsor and the user. There is nothing in this world which is free we, you and I, pay for this sight every time we buy anything froman advertiser in higher costs for that product passed along to the consumer. While datamax may be annoying to some, his checkbook speaks as loudly to the advertiser as does yours and his views, in that regard are just as important.
