Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Another reason to vote 3rd party

Clinton speaks before Hispanic civil rights conference
The Morning Call
Speaking to the nations'
largest Hispanic civil
rights organization,
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton,
D-N.Y., received a standing
ovation Monday when she vowed
her support for legislation that
would allow illegal immigrant high
school students to attend college.

Clinton made her remarks on various
issues of importance to the country's
Latinos at the annual conference of
National Council of La Raza,
attended by 23,000 people at
the Pennsylvania Convention
Center in Philadelphia.
The event started Friday and
has included a rally in center
Philadelphia in support of the
so-called DREAM Act that would
benefit illegal students. ( PUT IN CONGRESS BY ORRIN HATCH)

On Tuesday, the chairpersons of both
the Republican and Democratic national
committees
are schedule to address the
conference, which NCLR officials say is
a first for the organization and a sign
that both parties have heightened their
interest in the growing Latino population
and its votes.

Hmmmm......... Illegal.......... votes.............

It is a good thing I have two hands. That way I can shoot the finger to both sides at the same time.

I'm probably going to vote 3rd party again.

I voted 3rd party in the last election - I didn'thave enough air sickness bags to vote for either of the two big parties.

I would honestly consider voting 3rd party if they had a serious chance of winning. I just don't see that happening.

Do it anyway , you'll still be wasting your vote , but at least your candidate will never get the chance to hose you ...

Personally , I plan to do a write in as I suggested last time , I'll be voting for "None of the above" proudly .

From the sky comes a scream, as Homer is crashing right into the
Capitol. A few footsteps later, he comes running down the stairs.

Homer: America, take a good look at your beloved candidates. They're
nothing but hideous space reptiles. [unmasks them]
[audience gasps in terror]
Kodos: It's true, we are aliens. But what are you going to do about
it? It's a two-party system; you have to vote for one of us.
[murmurs]
Man1: He's right, this is a two-party system.
Man2: Well, I believe I'll vote for a third-party candidate.
Kang: Go ahead, throw your vote away.
[Kang and Kodos laugh out loud]
[Ross Perot smashes his "Perot 96" hat]

I am disappointed with the spinelessness exhibited by the Republicans - who are in power. However, not voting for them by voting for a 3rd party candidate with NO CHANCE only puts the democrats back in office. And if you think it's bad now . . .

WHO is an acceptable candidate right now?

I don't feel that voting for a third party candidate is a total waste , at least you're still part of the process . The only other viable alternative is to give up in disgust and not vote at all . Third party voting is also an important guage of the level of public discontent .

As for your question , there were no acceptable candidates in the first place , just the lesser of two evils . Would I rather have seen Kerry win ? Hell no ! that would have been worse if only because of his blatant lies and total idiocy . Bush , at least , is much harder to catch lying ...
