Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Singing the 'Told You So' song

Isn't this exactly what I said the Demmies would pull. Damn these spineless Republicans and their 'deals.'

http://www.drudgereport.com/flash3sca.htm

Schumer later went on to mock the "Gang of 14" judicial filibuster deal and said it wasn"t relevant in the Supreme Court debate.

"A Priscilla Owen or Janice Rogers Brown style appointment may not have been extraordinary to the appellate court but may be extraordinary to the Supreme Court."

No surprise at all. I expect the liberal bunch to oppose anyone that President Bush nominates. The fact that he's in no hurry to name someone must be killing them. I can't even stand the sight of most of the "chief liberals" (read dems) that love to keep their face in the news "warning" the President about who he cannot appoint. I wish the Republicans would reach down and see if they can find a pair . . . and then trying acting like they do.

The deal that was cut was made by 7 Republicans and 7 Democrats and was binding only on these people. The question is what will these 7 Democrats do when a nomination for a supreme court justice is in play? As I read the agreement, the agreement is non-binding if the participants do not keep faith. If the 7 Democrats return to a fillibuster, the 7 Republicans will have all the morejustificationfor voting to change procedure, to whit prohibitingfillibusters-- an option that remains fully available.

Exactly whom was sitting next to Chucky and overheard what he said ? Matt Drudge's face is well known in Washington , there's no way that it was him . I'm not gonna be surprised if this is the real outcome , but I just can't put any credence to a source who won't identify themselves .
