Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Vang & Stock Car Racing

... and the aftermath continues .....
Quote:
RICE LAKE, Wis. (AP) -- Donny Drew thought about quitting auto racing after several members of his pit crew and his older brother were among six hunters shot and killed last fall.
But the 44-year-old driver instead competed this year in a blaze orange car, the color hunters wear.
Chai Soua Vang, a 36-year-old truck driver from St. Paul, Minn., was accused of killing Drew's brother, 55-year-old Dennis Drew, and five others during a confrontation Nov. 21 in some isolated Sawyer County woods on the second day of the gun deer hunting season.
One victim, Mark Roidt, 28, was Donny Drew's main man on the pit crew, which also included two others killed, Robert Crotteau, 42, and his 20-year-old son Joey Crotteau. And his older brother, who got him hooked on stock cars, was a fixture in the stands.

"I miss all those guys," Donny Drew told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
"It's hard to look at the trailer and the hauler and not see them all there," said David Adams, a retired driver who builds Drew's engines.
Drew has won 64 feature races at Rice Lake in 18 seasons, including a record 54 in WISSOTA Super Stocks. He has seven season point titles on his home track.
His car now has an orange ribbon that wraps around the intake manifold on the hood, with the phrase, "Some gone, none forgotten," and the names of the victims in black. A strip of orange just above the rear bumper says "Our Racing Angels" and also lists the names of those killed, which also includes Al Laski, 43, and Jessica Willers, 27.
The old R&J sponsor logo on the side of the car has been replaced by "In Memory of R&J Concrete," a firm that Robert Crotteau started. Two numbers were added to the roof, to bracket No. 21, forming the date of the slayings: 11-21-04.
More than 2,000 people filled the stands to see the car's debut run May 7 in the Drew 21 Pit Crew Memorial Super Stock Race. Drew needs only one more season points title at Rice Lake Speedway to tie the record of eight set by his mentor, Dave Adams. But he has not won any of his first five feature races this year.
I don't think I could have continued, he's a bigger man than I
