It's about time. I was optimistic the House would pass it, but you never know. There are still an awful lot of cowards on the Hill. I'm not sure if it'll pass by that high a margin in the Senate, though, if at all. We need to start letting our Senators how we feel about the matter if we're going to succeed.

but all that money is now going to be spent bailing United out of their pension scandal -- and it's worth a couple hundred billion.

You're taking it up the chucker no matter how you look at it.

United's upper eschelon is still pulling down 6 figure salaries and you're paying off their AGREED TO deal with their lazy union turds.

BTW: did you know that the average floor grunt at united made $39/hr. with a high school degree...

It's obvious that you know nothing about "floor grunts"!!!!

I will assure you they are worth every dime of that money!

The mechs have had to either go to a college that has a aviation maint. program or military experience on aircraft. and after 18 months of this the FAA has to say they can test for an A&P license. And the 9 test series is no easy task!
Then the responsibility that those "grunts "take on is big!
They are the ones that make sure that plane that is going to fly some 30+ thousand feet in the air at speeds of 400+ mph holds togather and gets turds like you back on the ground ALIVE!!

Now the problem lies with the executives they are way over paid for what they do. But you need to lay off the "floor grunt" they earnevery dime they get!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
