Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Can't be Taz,

All US businessmen are cherubs and would never let this happen.

Their allegiances are to God and Country...

You must be a bad citizen. You're a libbie for saying these things.

Got any discount lettuce ?

My 'puter is going nuts in this humidity, it crapped out on my 2x in the last 1/2 hour. Was up on a roof repairing gutters this morning, damn, I'll bet I sweated out a gallon of water. It's as bad a Lousiana up here right now. It's about 90 degrees and humid as hell. UGH.

These stories keep popping up, especially from Florida but it would not surprise me if it wasn't going on elsewhere as well. Any place where cheap labor is in demand it is going to happen and as long as illegals are hired by businesses with few questions ask it will flourish.
It also happens, on a different scale, in the so called sex trade which is nothing more than slavery. It is quite common in Europe and, no doubt, happens here in the U.S. as well. There are sleaze balls in this world that will take advantage of any situation, problem is, many are in positions of trust and power and we allow them to continue.

Indentured servants working IS happening everywhere, not just in Florida! Here in the midwest a man has been arrested for nearly the same thing, but using illegal aliens. The guy owns several Mexican style restaurants and employs many illegals.....most of them work for less than minimum wage and are not paid any overtime.

And why aren't these business owners arrested and charged with harboring illegals?

this boggles my mind. But then again posing that question, some would call me a "whiner".

I read of cases recently of Chi Chi's restaurants hiring huge numbers of illegals and they ended up getting alot of people sick and a couple are going to die from Hepatitis that was passed along to them.

funny how the media totally glosses over that.

Tard, the restaurant chain I mentioned was El Rancherito....much smaller in name and in profile and less famous than Chi Chi's. In the two El Rancherito restaurants I ever visited, EVERY employee was Mexican and most could not utter a word of English.
