High media profile events like Jon Benet Rasmey ? Or that girl Elizabeth Smart ? Whats up with that whole thing now ? Or the Tsunami disaster ...... it dominated the headlines and now its gone.
Has the media reporting events morphed into a reality show that has to constantly change its characters to keep our attention ?

the media has become the pablum for the masses. They aren't even really partisan anymore, they simply report on sports, the weather and the latest in diet fads.
The media has a "what have you done for me lately" attitude. I would really like follow up stories, but you hardly see them, unless there's some kind of new twist or scandal.[:-]
How many of you have heard anything about Mayor West of Spokane Washington who was accused of molesting 2 boys and admitted to going on the "low down" while he was married with children (low down is slang for a homo sneaking around at night). He also admitted to hiring only gays so he could have sex with them and take them "naked swimming"
And he is a "republican" -- why didn't the media go absolutely hog wild on that one, they usually LOVE dirt on 'republicans' ?
The media is virtually inconsequential these days.
Nope, I couldn't care less. Once I've heard a story, I don't need to hear it again. There are lot of idiots whose lives revolve around the media. I really can't understand why that is.
Once they started reporting about tsunami charities and the money being scammed,it went away.It was as I had said all along. They had more money than they needed and somebody was getting rich.
