Default Snoring

My wife is really peaved at me and my snoring.

I am the kind of snorer that doesn't think I snore. I asked her to videotape me snoring. The two times she did I would say it was heavy breathing, not sawing logs. She is an extremely light sleeper and doesn't really sleep until 3 am. She is a waitress that works until around 10 pm.

She has threatened to leave me because of this. I sleep many nights on the couch......

Advice on cutting my snoring or zonking her out. I have tried the breathright strips to no avail and I mentioned to her to take drowsy cold medicine.

I know I snore. Infact, I've woken myself up snoring too loud! The first time that I know of that I snored was on my senior trip to Fla. on the chartered bus. None of my classmates would let me live it down. Both my parents snore, so I guess I have no way around it.

I heard there is some surgery to stop snoring -- something about using a laser to cut some flesh out of your throat.... doesn't sound good to me.

There's a spray too, that is supposed to numb your throat and stop the snoeing temporarily.

Good Luck, Buck!

Oh, I forgot... To help my wife, I go to bed an hour after her. Once she's out cold, my snoring doesn't wake her up, but if we go to bed at the same time, I almost alway fall asleep first and keep her up.

My wife used to b***h to high heaven about my snoring.

Finally I told her she should thank her lucky stars because it probably scares away wild animals that otherwise might attack the house.

My wife says I snore OCCASIONALLY. I have a problem with her watching TV and having the light on sometimes until 1:00 in the morning, since it makes it harder for me to get to sleep. I think I should be able to go to bed in quiet and dark, and she thinks she should be able to have the TV and/or lamp on until as late as she wants.

Mine used to do that until I threatened to take out the tv , and I mean take it out permanently ! How rude can you get ? [:@]

I snore like a chainsaw , and that throat spray does work somewhat but it ain't bombproof . Have your wife take a melatonin or two before retiring , it should help her sleep and has no side effects such as drowsiness after waking . The 300 microgram dosage seems to work best .

My dad used to snore really loudly, so he started sleeping with a plastic bag over his head. Hasn't made a peep since.
