Consanguinity (marriage between people that are blood relatives) has been practiced in the Middle East for over 100 generations, even before the introduction of Islam in the seventh century.

Within about 3 or 4 generations you would have one big eyeball and claws.

1.5 to 2.5 % STEADY risk is not a big factor, geometric increase in risk IS a factor.

BUT, it has already been shown that without the variability of male's DNA, this population of "amazon's" (ie: all women) would die out in about 3 to 5 generations because their immune systems would be so crappy.

Your posted article is one man's view, and what its telling me is after 8,000 - 10,000 years theres still no genetic issues to ammount to anything other than a suspicion that "other" medical complications "could" be "up to" 20% greater

but the cases of milignant hyperthermia that I cited in marshfield wisconsin did happen after only a couple of generations. The saudi's must have had some genetic variability thrown in over time to have prevented problems cropping up faster.


So what is your proposition? Breed with your cousin only until such time as you produce a freak?
