Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Well that's because they know the court and the modern Republican party favor abortion in practice - no matter the campaign rhetoric.

Actually I believe it's because women make up 51% of the population -- big voting block.

Did you ever note how Margaret Sanger and PP were naughty racists in the past but now they're champions of "justice" .............

So no one wants to weigh in on why 15 years is NOT long enough to overturn Roe V. Wade?

Tough cookie for the pro-lifers ain't it?
No, because its a waste of hot air. No one will be pulled to either side so it is a dead horse. All I can say is, I am raiseing two "would have been" abortions. You can come over any time you want and look my daughters in their eyes and tell them there life was not worth saving. That is exactly what my wife and I did, we talked the women into not having the abortion. So come on over and look these two little girls in the eye and explain that to them.

WTF????????? You the only daddy on the board here sport?

Puttin words in MY mouth don't fly here burnie.

I'm talking about the glaring hypocrisy of the issue burnie. Most of the pro-life camp want to make this a POLITICAL issue and sway VOTES with it then do nothing about it because they know the republican SC justices support legal abortion.

They know if the SC rules again in favor of legal abortion they'll have no more bloody rag to wave at election time.

So why in 15 years has Roe not been challenged? Are the pro-lifers impotent and broke? Are they powerless to bring a case before the court?

Anyone want to explain why republicans control all 3 branches of Gov. and they are not even TALKING about outlawing abortion?

(its cause they're closet abortion supporters)

Simply pointing out the other side the the "Choice" thing. By all your accounts my daughters should be nothing more than a choice. Like removing a pimple from your butt. Why is it now not part of the issue???

Further more, I could careless about any candy coating, broad brush painting about the issue. It is the law, and you are probably right, but it doesnt make it right in my book, simply put.

Where have I said I support legal abortion?
fair enough. But your badger leads to believe so.

Quote:
The party in power thinks your daughters should be a choice - that's the point - blame me if you want, that's much easier than holding them to their campaign platform - and YEARS of empty promises.
Like I said, you have a point. It cant be disputed by said evidence, thus the reason for no rebutal, as well as the issue always turns into a flame war.

Quote:
You have simply told me what your personal beliefs are - that's fine but does not address my questions.
You are absolutly right on that one. And the only way I can address the issue is with my response above. I have seen many broken lives because of this "choice" issue. I can not look at my daughers with out tearing up thinking they were just hours away from getting vacumed out of their biological mother. I am now working with a girl who becomes suicidal every year when the birth of her aborted baby comes around. She is not the only one i personally deal with. I can not change the laws. I am simply one voice, and yes I do voice it with my votes and letters, but like you mentioned, my efforts seem futile. No more can I say on the issue other than based on emotion, so most likely ill not post on the issue further.
