I know he's small, but after getting skunked last year I wasn't going to let a legal bird walk.
He came in to a pair of hen decoys with 2 other jakes and a hen. Beard is only about 1.5" and no spurs to speak of, but I've seen his daddy thru binocs and am saving my last tag for the big boy!

Congrats! Well in my book any animal harvested by me is a trophy so even how small or big they are its always a good experience.

Looks like this weekend may be my last chance, with that in mind I may go back back on my word and shoot any legal bird instead of letting the tag going to waste. Hopefully the hens are all serviced and the big boy will respond to my pitifull calling, but jakes are tasty too.
