Default alberta turkey hunting?

Any one ever get a draw for Toms up here in alberta?? Are they the same as the USA wild Toms? just wondering I live to far from where the WMU's are for themany ways but would be nice to give it a try

Nicholal, the Wild turkeys have moved in from the US, to become a small astablished population in Alb.

If you have intrest in Wild Turkey Hunting and would like to give it a try, maybe we could work something out for next springI'm talking a hunt exchange, not money). I have about a 80% success rate and Tons of land to work. You can hunt them right out the back door here.

If your interested, get ahold of me, I have no problem putting you on birds.

turkeys in alberta are very hard to get draws for i think they only give out like 4 so your chances on bagging one arent to great

My buddy got one a couple years back...you usually need a priority 3-4 to get drawn since the number of licenses are limited. They are Merriams turkeys and have adapted well to their surroundings. I have seen them numerous times while driving through the porcupine hills. It's worth putting in for the draws if you want to try hunting one, but it'll probably be a while till you get it.
