Default Hunting Africa

Since the starting days of my hunting carreer I came along some pretty good sites, believe me, this must be under the top 3.
I've been hunting 17 years and met a lot of accomplished hunters but never came along a group of ethical hunters like you guys/girls
beautifulllll.

South Africa offers aspectrum of opportunity to the hunter, both from the game chased perspective (and method of "pursuit"-spot & stalk, blinds)) and the armament required. Essentially, once you have the financial wherewithal, you can hunt everything from dangerous game (the big six) to varmints. Typically, you hunt large tracts of land (the game belongs to the rancher) and pay a daily and trophy fee.
An alternative way to get to hunt SA is to know the farmer . A lot cheaper ! Just to qualify the above statements, I'm an ex-South African now resident in Canada. Grew up hunting in SA, using the social/family connections .

Tkrugersa, tell us some stories about the hunting over there. I was in the process of booking a hunt in SA for this upcoming spring, but it fell through for a couple reasons. I'm still dying to get over there. It is my number 1 goal for the next year or so to hunt a kudu and a gemsbok.

Come on Thys, the guys want stories!
Mlj64,
Your heart must be weeping some days as you long for home.
But I am sure you have done your homework before leaving. Sad but probably justified. Enjoy Canada and read my web site on your accurate assessment of "a lot cheaper if you know the farmer".
This is the link to the kill!

I live on a small holding south of Joh'burg, and hunt cheap stuff like baboons, jackal, warthog, springbok….
