Default Grizzlies in B.C.?

These areprobably dumb questions, but I want to hunt grizzlies in B.C.:
Where do I start the process of doing it?
Any good guide recommendations?
What time of year is it?
Is a 7mm Rem Mag good?

Cant refer you to a guide - but Id head as far north as you can. Generally higher concentrations of them up there, not to mention they get bigger. I am going for a spring grizz hunt in the Dease Lake area of BC - pull out a map itll give you a general vicinity.

Whoever you look at for guides, make sure you do alot of reference checks

7mm Rem Mag should be fine.

Spring has higher success rates, early spring best coats.
Fall has bigger bears as they havent been in starvation alley for several months.

Hope that gives you a lil help!

It does help! Thanks. Another question: is a 30-06 enough? Also, I will definately do a lot of reference checks. I got a coho/steelhead guide in B.C. once that was absolutely terrible!

Check out Randy Bedell Sundown outfitters
He's not REAL far north but there are LOTS! of bears in his territory
I Occasionaly work with the oil companys in his area and have seen first had the kind bears he has there
The only kicker might be his quota on bear hunting ,meaning you might have to wait a couple years for an opening but i don't know for sure
