Default Redfield 8X36

For those interested in some reasonable priced binoculars, Midwayusa.com has Redfield 8X36 porro prisms on sale for $50.09, shipping for free. These list for around $100. I do not know if these are of good glass or not, but for the price I ordered one. The 10X36 is on sale too, around $85 or so.

And they arrived!!! For $50 these are a deal! I am not a binocular expert but these will do nicely in the deer fields that I hunt in. They seem bright and clear and have that great Leupold lifetime warranty. My old Focals that I got at K-Mart are retired. If they are still on sale you will not go wrong with the 8X36.

The price of the 8X36's are now appx. $75. The overstocking must have been sold. They are still a great set of glasses and I would pay the higher price for them.

Do I hear an echo???

Sounds good to me just because of the name of the manufacturer.

I am sure that the optics purists would turn their nose up at the $50 Redfield. For this old country boy they are completely adequate and a whole lot better then the ones I was using. I do like the lifetime warranty being handled by Leupold.

Patience Mr. Money, I am sure that they will be on sale again. For a little more you can get a decent Leupold 8X30, I think it is, don't remember the name. Maybe they are Yosemete, or something like that. My son has a pair and likes them. I believe they can be found for under $100.
