There is little difference between low value and low quality when it comes to optics. You would be better off waiting and saving you money for a decent pair of binos then to get poor quality and then have to get another pair when you realize low price in optics usually equates to low quality

Leupold Yosemite 6×30 (BX-1) binocs seem to get very good reviews, right around $100. An online reviewer whose opinion I value says they are the only sub-$100 binocs he would recommend.

The Leupold Yosemite are a really good pair of binos for not a lot of money. I just bought a small pair of Cabelas Outfiittet Binos that I have been really impressed with. I think they were a little more than $150 but not much.

Someone on Ebay is selling new Weaver Kaspa 10X42's for around $55 delivered. If I wanted some decent glass relatively cheap I would go that route. I looked at a set in a store, they seemed good to me.

My son has some Leupold Yosemite in 8X30, he likes them.

Just bought my daughter her first pair for her birthday.

Vortex vanquish 8x26 but they also come in 10x26 they are right on your price mark.

If someday you decide to upgrade these are still handy little binos to have around.

Another vote for the Leupold Yosemite. Look way clearer than the Nikon prostaff and Redfield and have fully multi coated lenses. they were just as clear as the Vortex Diamondback but 130 dollars cheaper.

Amazon Amazon

Yet another vote for the Yosemite.....relatively great bino for (relatively) cheap...I've got the 8x....light and durable as well.....I use them mostly for bow hunting or when I know I'm going to be hiking a long way and need as little weight as possible

That brings up a point that really should be discussed more.

The Yosemite binos are Porro prism while the diamondback binos are roof prism. You will almost always get clearer optics in porro prism assuming all else is equal or equal clarity from porro prism for half the price as roof prism. Vortex also makes a $100ish pair of porro prism binos but I have not looked through them or the Yosemite binos.

A quick google search will give you lots of comparison. Just google "Vortex raptor VS Leupold Yosemite"

My guess is you will find reviews going both ways with a slight edge to the vortex. I would also guess the overall build is better on the Yosemite and the glass better in the Vortex.

The bird watching forums will give you lots better information than hunting forums probably.

Anyway porro prism binos will probably always be a better bang for your buck than roof prism whether you are comparing Leupold VS Vortex , Leupold VS Leupold , or Vortex VS Vortex etc. Roof prism simply cost more than Porro prism.
