Default Best Scope For 93R17?

I'm thinking about buying a Savage 93R17 BTVLSS and was wondering what a good choice would be for a scope. This is the stainless barrel and action version with the laminated thumbhole stock. It is also the left-hand model and has the heavy (varmit) barrel chambered in .17 HMR. Thanks.

Mine carries a silver Bushnell 3200 Elite 3X9X40. I didn't choose it, it was on the gun when I got it, but it is a very good & bright scope. I would not hesitate to get another one.

What are you using it for? I think that makes the biggest difference.
I've got the synthetic stock version and my boys use it for plinking and squirrel hunting so I knew I didn't need a great scope. Bought a 4x32 Bushnell. It is working very well. fits the gun and is plenty of scope for what we need at this point in the game.

Marlin as well (917VS-CF) ; put a Burris Signature Select 4X-16X 44MM BDC reticle on it.

All depends at what size targets you are shooting at, and at what distances !!!

I almost started this exact thread till I ran across this one.I,m Lookin to replace the BSA Sweet 17 garbage that came with it.I was gonna go with a Cabela,s Rimfire scope that was on sale but they can,t get them.(typical Cabela,s sales fraud)Field@Sream has a nice Rimfire scope on sale(in stock) for a good price or I might grab the Bushnell Banner which is also on sale.

I have a savage 93r17 that wears a Bushnell Banner 3-9x40. I think the Banners are great, for an inexpensive scope. They're pretty clear and they hold zero well. Cant ask for much more from a cheap scope, in my opinion.
