Default Good monocular?

Hi. I have a lazy eye. Looking through Binoculars confuses me and I just have to shut my lazy eye anyway when I do it. I figure I can save a lot of money and pack weight + space by cutting the optics in half. Can anybody recommend a good monocular from $100 - $300? I would like to use it to spot wildlife when I'm hanging out on the peaks of mountains.

As always the case with optics, if you can look before buying, I would do it. Below are some from companies with reputable optics and service, but even from a given company there is often a range of quality...
