Ive seen the vx-r but i have no clue what it is whats the difference i noticed it was battery operated? anyways if someone could clear up the differences between the vx-2 vx-3 and the vx-r for me that would be great.
The VX-R has an illuminated red dot at the center of your crosshairs that you can turn on and off. It has a button on the side that you can turn it on or off and you can adjust the brightness of the dot with the same button. Its really easy to use. When you have dot off its just your regular scope. When you have the dot on it will turn off automatically when idle for 5 minutes and it has a motion sensor that activates it back on when you move the gun. It also has a 30mm tube instead of the 1 inch. Leupold says the glass quality is between the vx-2 and vx-3 with being close to vx-3 glass. I was trying to decide between the vx-3 and vx-r and went with the vx-r. The vx-3 is a very nice scope also.
ok thanks, i think i will end up going for just the vx-3 because i have the option of going for the silver scope which will match my gun pretty nicely i think.
