Default Pentax 9x28 DCF LV compact binoculars review

These are pretty awesome compacts, great size, great optics, great price ~$170.

I wanted a quality pair of compacts, my big binos were just too big/unneeded in the deer woods, and my junker 8x25mm or whatever for $30 are just that kinda junky. These 9x28 pentax have great quality, great design, they're light, they're not super tiny, but still smaller than some mid size setups. They're right inbetween that compact/mid-size size.

I would have to say I'd rather spend $200 on a quality small setup like these than to have 10x43 of lesser quality for a hunt out west. Ie if you can't afford $500 10x43 binos, think about getting these 9x28 for less than $200, and down the road maybe pick up some bigger binos if need be.

I have 10x43 dcf sp which are awesome binos for the $500 price range.
