Should I use loctite when mounting a scope?

I do not use a "permanent" thread glue product and have had zero problems. I know of no one that does. However I know many folks that use the non permanent Loctite thread glue, or similar product. What I do is snug down the screws and then "seal" with a very small drop of clear fingernail polish placed on top of the screw head, near the edge. So far this has worked well to prevent the scope mount screws from backing out. To remove the screws, I use fingernail polish remover to weaken this seal.

I only ever use blue Loctite or clear nail polish on the base screws. The ring screws just get tightened to specs without any "treatments".
