Default Rangefinders

I am looking to purchase a rangefinder mainly for bow hunting. I may use it some to range deer out to 300 yards with a gun, but that's about it.

My friend has a Nikon Archers choice he will sell me for 200 bucks. any thoughts on this?

Any suggestions on brands and types? I'd like something that's pretty weather resistant and fog proof. Looking to spend something at the lower end of the price range. Probably around 250-300 but could stretch it a little if it's worth the extra money.

thanks in advance.

I don't believe the Nikon Archers choice will range out to 300 yards. I just bought a Nikon Riflehunter 550 on ebay for 225$. It is supposed to range deer size targets out past 300 plus it has the incline/decline feature to tell you the true shooting range which is great for archery. I also own a Leupold RX-i and it has been great, it just doesn't have the incline/decline. I believe you can get it for right around 200 also.
