Default Nikon or Vortex

I am in the market for a new pair of bino's and am torn between the Nikon Monarchs and the Vortex Diamondback both it 10x42.

I like the Nikons but have been reading alot of bad reviews with the eye cups and the "Dioper".

Do any of yall have any experiance with either that could give an honest opionion.

I use the Nikon Monarch 12X 42 and have never looked back.

Great optics company know for "fair" pricing and good warranty.

...............and not going anyway either !

I also have the Nikon Monarchs 10x42 .
I had them forabought 34 seasons and had oneof the eye cups crack . ( It still stayed on fine just would come off if I twisted it to far .)
Also had a littler trouble with them fogging up , but do to temps in the teens and my breathing . LOL.
I returned them for repair and Nikon replaced them with a brand new set .

The Nikons are at the top of the list as far as clarity and light transmition. I just don't have a place close that sells the Vortex to compare them side by side. Thanks for the replies..

I have used the Vortex Optics Binos on many different western hunts, used the Kaibabs side by side with Swaro SLCs and both myself and other guides were impressed. The Swaro owner after using the Kaibabs was actually regretful for spending the extra 800. Nikon makes a decent set of eyes as well and they are a big company. I woudl not worry about Vortex going anywhere they have a very good market share and have a decent amount of capital investment which says they are moving up and up in the world. Vortex's warranty cannont be beat. Unconditional no questions asked lifetime. My guiding partner dropped his skyline down a ledge and cracked it. From our ridge he called Vortex, told them what had happened, and propmtly sent him a shipping box and within two weeks he had a brand new, not his old one rebuilt, skyline.
